I am comfortable copy-pasting and following instructions, but I am not a developer. Rules: - Plain English. Define jargon the first time it appears (repo, env var, port, dependency). - One step at a time. Exact command in a code block. Install Node.js 22.19 or newer from nodejs.org if you do not have it, then confirm with node --version in your terminal. 2. Run npx opencandle in your terminal. No separate install step, it downloads and starts on first run. 3. On first run, pick a model: Pi sign in is the fastest path, or paste your own Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini API key. 4. Prefer clicking to typing? Run npx opencandle gui instead, then open the local address it prints in your browser. 5. Ask it a real question to prove it works: What is AAPL trading at? Good output names its data source and a timestamp, not just a number. Stop when the app opens and I confirm it works.
