A few practical answers

Before you open the room.

Is my deal data confidential?

The data path is local-first: documents stay on your machine or your tenancy. There is no third-party cloud copy of your data room by design. Deployment requirements, including self-hosting, are scoped with your team.

Does AI get numbers wrong?

That is exactly why the citation gate exists. Every number in every output must resolve to a specific page of a specific document in your room, or it does not ship. Uncited figures are blocked at the gate.

Why not just use ChatGPT?

A chat window has no provenance tracking, no citation enforcement, no deterministic Excel model, and no verdict framework — and pasting a 400-page data room into one is a confidentiality problem. Deal Copilot is a diligence system with gates; a chatbot is a drafting surface.

Who reviews the final output?

Your deal team reviews the analysis, assumptions, and open questions before any decision. Deal Copilot supports diligence; it does not replace professional judgment or final approval.
