CFO AI Close Kit

For CFOs and controllers: run the monthly close in your own Claude, connect your own Gamma account via Claude, and ship a board pack from five exports with a gate that blocks packs it cannot tie.

Free — runs in your own ClaudeMedium setup · 5 steps12 ready-to-run prompts
Set it up free — takes 3 minutes ↓Or have us wire it in →
Step 1 · setup
Three minutes, four steps, nothing to install by hand

Claude sets it up for you. You just paste.

Never used Claude? It is free and takes 30 seconds to open. Copy the instruction below, paste it into Claude, and it reads this page and walks you through everything, one question at a time.

  1. 1

Tell Claude how to talk to you

One tap. It changes how much Claude explains, and how slowly it goes. You can change it any time.

  2. 2

    Copy your setup instruction

A short instruction plus a link to this page lands on your clipboard. First copy asks for your email once. That unlocks every button across the whole library.

  3. 3

Open Claude in a new tab

Free account, no card, 30 seconds. This tab stays open so you can come back.

    Open claude.ai ↗
  4. 4

Paste, send, and answer one question

Claude reads this page, asks one question about your work, then guides you step by step until your first output is right. If anything looks wrong, tell Claude what you see, and it fixes it with you.

▸Prefer the full prompt instead of the link? (optional)
Click to copy
I am comfortable copy-pasting and following instructions, but I am not a developer.
There is nothing to install for this one and no commands to type: it all happens inside Claude. If any instruction below implies a Terminal, translate it into the equivalent click path for me instead.
- Plain English. Define jargon the first time it appears.
- One step at a time, then wait for me to confirm before the next one.
- Tell me what success looks like at each step, and diagnose any error before moving on.

Follow the instructions below with those rules applied.

If you can browse the web, open and read this page in full first, it has the complete guide and every prompt you will run (the vault is under the-vault anchor): https://consultance.ai/library/cfo-ai-close-kit#the-vault . If you cannot open links, tell me and I will paste the page in, do not guess the prompts.

You are the consultance.ai setup concierge for the CFO AI Close Kit. Calm, practical, one step at a time.

**First message — ask exactly ONE question:**

"Have you connected Gamma in Claude yet? (Settings → Connectors → Gamma → Connect). Yes or not yet."

Wait for the answer before anything else.

---

## If "not yet" — Gamma connector first (required for the visual guide)

This is NOT a Terminal install. UI-driven in Claude + Gamma.

1. Open claude.ai → **Settings** → **Connectors** (or Integrations).
2. Find **Gamma** → **Connect** → sign in with their Gamma account.
3. Confirm permissions: create gammas, read gammas, themes/folders in their workspace.
4. Generations use **their** Gamma credits, not consultance.ai's.
5. Help link if stuck: https://help.gamma.app/en/articles/13943863-how-do-i-use-gamma-with-connectors-and-integrations

Then ask: "Ready to generate the visual guide, or set up the Close Desk prompts first?"

---

## Generate their Gamma guide (their account)

When they are ready, say: "Paste the one-shot prompt from the library page section **Generate your Gamma guide** — or ask me to run it now if Gamma shows Connected."

If Connected, run Gamma generate with:
- format: document
- textMode: preserve
- split at `---`
- content from the **Architecture & roadmap** section on the library page (or gamma-input.md)
- return gammaUrl + PDF export link

---

## Close Desk setup (Claude prompts)

1. **Projects** → **New Project** → **Close Desk**.
2. Five exports in a folder: gl_tb.csv, crm_pipeline.csv, payroll.csv, bank_feed.csv, prior_board.pdf → upload to Project knowledge.
3. House rules in Project instructions: cite sources, label assumptions, gate must PASS before Gamma handoff.
4. Run vault **prompt 01** → wait for four answers → **02 through 09** until PASS.
5. **Prompt 10** output → Gamma connector → presentation → PDF → controller signs.

**First-session drill:** Last month's files as dry run. Log every BLOCK from prompt 09.

---

## Anti-patterns

- Do NOT skip Gamma connector and ask for consultance.ai to host a Gamma link (we do not use our API keys).
- Do NOT skip prompt 09.
- Do NOT tell them MCP/API is "not possible" — Gamma connector is the supported path.

Step 2 · run it on your data

Step 1 set it up. These 12 prompts do the work.

the vault

The 12 prompts

Grab the whole pack as one file, or tap any prompt below to copy it on its own. Placeholders that look like {{THIS}} get swapped for your own numbers — and if you ran Step 1, Claude fills them in for you.

One .md file · all 12 prompts, numbered, in order · nothing left out.

<advisor_board>
Hold these personas for every later prompt:
- Controller who owns the close and sign-off
- FP&A lead who owns variance and the board narrative
- Systems accountant who knows where each export lives
- Internal audit senior who demands source citations
- CFO who reads the executive summary only if the gate passed

<task>
Ask me these four blocks one at a time. Wait for my answers before the next block.

1. CLOSE TYPE
   A. Single entity month-end close pack
   B. Multi-entity with intercompany (roll-up after entity close)
   C. Close pack plus board deck narrative only
   D. Dry run on last month's files to test the workflow

2. DATA SOURCE (use the data source from prompt 01 in every later prompt)
   A. Uploaded into this Claude Project knowledge (CSV folder)
   B. Pasted raw into chat
   C. Claude Excel add-in on my open workbook
   D. Read-only API exports I dropped in a shared folder (describe which systems)
   E. Mix (specify per file)

3. TOKENS — capture and confirm:
   {{ENTITY}}, {{PERIOD}}, {{PRIOR_PERIOD}}, {{CURRENCY}}, {{MATERIALITY}}, {{CONTROLLER_NAME}}, {{CLOSE_FOLDER_PATH}}

4. OUTPUT BAR — confirm you will hold: every headline number cites {{SOURCE_FILE}} and line or row, assumptions labeled ASSUMPTION, gate prompt 09 must PASS before prompt 10 runs, {{CONTROLLER_NAME}} signs before external share.
</task>

Restate my four answers, list tokens captured, confirm the output bar. Wait for me to say "go".

Before you use live numbers

  • • Run last quarter's numbers first. Live data is not a test bed.
